Legal
Privacy Policy
This is a working draft of our privacy policy, published for transparency while Structure Your Life is in early development. It will be reviewed and finalized before the product handles personal data at scale. It is not yet a binding legal agreement.
The short version: your structure is yours. We collect only what we need to run the product, we don't sell your data, and you can export or delete it.
Information we collect
- Account information — the email address and basic details you provide when you sign up.
- Your content — the pillars, goals, projects, tasks, notes, routines, and trackers you create. This is stored so we can sync it across your devices.
- Usage and device data — basic technical information (such as browser type and log data) needed to operate, secure, and improve the service.
How we use information
- To provide the product — storing and syncing your content across devices.
- To secure your account and prevent abuse.
- To communicate with you about the service, including important changes.
- To understand and improve how the product works, in aggregate.
What we don't do
- We don't sell your personal data.
- We don't use the private content of your pillars, goals, projects, or tasks to serve you advertising.
Sharing
We share data only with the service providers that host and run the product — principally Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Vercel — and only as needed to operate the service, or where the law requires it. These providers process your data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments. We don't sell your data or share it with advertisers.
Where your data is stored
Structure Your Life is operated from Canada. Your data is stored and processed in the United States — in Amazon Web Services' US East (Ohio) region (us-east-2) and on Vercel's infrastructure. If you use the product from outside the United States, you consent to your data being transferred to and processed there.
Your control over your data
- Export — your content is exportable, so you're never locked in.
- Deletion — you can delete your content or close your account, and we'll remove your data as described in our retention practices.
- Access and correction — you can access and update your account information at any time.
Data retention
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete content or close your account, we remove it from active systems within a reasonable period, subject to backups and any legal obligations.
Children
Structure Your Life is not directed at children, and is not intended for use by anyone under the age required by their local law to consent to online services.
Changes to this policy
As the product develops, this policy will change. When it does, we'll update this page and, for material changes, notify account holders.
